Each month I will compile a curated list of my favorite health products along with a short explanation behind the obsession. I love discovering new, clean products that I can add to my grocery lineup through articles, social media or local farmer's markets and am excited to share my findings with you.
I know I know, hearing the word 'sauerkraut' makes me cringe a little but hear me out. It is SO good for you. Sauerkraut contains beneficial probiotics which help improve digestion, bloating, gas, etc. And since your gut health impacts the rest of your body, it can also improve immune function, stress levels, heart health and prevent disease. I happen to love pickles so I add this on top of chicken, burgers, salads and bowls. There's a variety of flavors if you're not as into pickles as I am. But this stuff is good.
I found this granola at my local farmer's market and immediately fell in love. I had been looking for a granola that was not loaded with added sugars or artificial sweeteners and this is it. We Three Girls uses simple, mostly organic ingredients sweetened with maple syrup and small amounts of organic raw sugar. The granolas come in a variety of flavors but this one is by far my favorite. As an added bonus I get to support a woman owned business!
To be honest I have hated mustard my entire life. I'd only put ketchup on my hotdogs and hamburgers growing up and hated anything honey mustard flavored. I still don't like mustard on its own; however I have been slowly incorporating Dijon into dressings, dips and egg salads. Mustard is rich in antioxidants, can improve digestive health and metabolism, and may help lower blood sugar levels. This particular TJ's mustard is made in France (fancy) and has a few simple ingredients and no sugar.
